Tanya Pittis is currently completing her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management at SAIT. She is finishing her fourth year and making the most of her student experience by getting involved outside of the classroom.
The start of Pittis's journey to a more meaningful student experience began as a Peer Support Centre employee and member of the Human Resource Students' Society. From there, she learned more about the SAIT Student Association (SAITSA) culture, and not too long after, was elected by the students as a Director. She has also served as Chair of SAITSA's Governance Committee.
Pittis has developed valuable skills along the way that will help her on her journey as a student representative for SAIT's Board of Governors. She is committed to ensuring students view are represented.
Pittis has a passion for community involvement, education and making sure students leave SAIT with a memorable student experience. She describes herself as an advocate for the mental health and well-being of fellow students by encouraging empathy, peer listening and collaboration.
