The SAIT eCard is your official SAIT identification (ID) card, giving you access to facilities across campus including classrooms, labs, SAIT Recreation*, the Reg Erhardt Library and student health services. You can also load funds on your eCard to eat and shop on campus, print and more.

If you're a new, full-time student beginning classes this fall, pick-up your SAIT ID card (e-card) between July 23 and Aug. 24 and complete the entry form.
Three are three prizes to be won:
- Two early bird prizes of $250 on your SAIT e-card (awarded Tuesday, Aug. 15 and Tuesday, Aug. 29.)
- One grand prize of $500 on your SAIT e-card (awarded Wednesday, Sept. 5)

All current students qualify for a SAIT eCard and can continue to use it as long as they are a registered student. Your eCard is non-transferable and you may only use it for the services offered. Your eCard will be subject to forfeiture if presented by anyone else.
SAIT eCards for guests
eCards can be issued for guests as a non-photo eCommerce card that can be used at participating merchants on campus. Guest eCards are available from the Phil Station located across from the SAIT Bookstore. A minimum of $5 is required for the initial load onto the eCard.
Getting your eCard
You can pick up your eCard up to six weeks before your program or course start date. You must have at least one piece of government issued photo identification — for example, a driver's license, provincial identification or passport.
Visit the Office of the Registrar in Heritage Hall, room AA211 or the SAIT eCard Office in room MB106, Stan Grad Centre, located inside the SAIT Bookstore.
Only your legal first and last name can be printed on your eCard, which must match your government issued photo ID. No nicknames are allowed.
Depositing money onto your eCard
You can deposit money onto your eCard by:
- visiting the Card Office in the SAIT Bookstore (cash, credit and debit accepted)
- visiting the Phil Station across from the SAIT Bookstore (cash accepted)
- visiting SAIT eAccounts online (credit accepted)
- downloading the Blackboard Transact Mobile eAccounts app for Apple or Android (credit accepted.) You are required to register and save a payment method online at SAIT eAccounts before using the mobile app
- converting 35,000 Aeroplan Miles for a $250 deposit on your card
- converting 62,500 TD Points for a $250 deposit on your card
- converting CIBC points for a deposit on your card.
Family members can load funds onto your eCard account via the Card Office or online at SAIT eAccounts if they know your student ID number and legal name. The information entered must be identical to your SAIT eCard.
- the email address is your "firstname.lastname@example.org" address
- the customer number is your nine-digit Student ID number
You can check your balance at the Phil Station (kiosk located in front of the Bookstore), at any vendor across campus or on your personal eAccount either online or on the Blackboard app.
All deposits to your eCard are treated as purchases. Cash withdrawals are not allowed.
Login to SAIT eAccounts to perform the following functions:
- First-time registration on the eAccounts system enables you to use the Blackboard Transact Mobile eAccounts app for iPhone or Android.
- Add funds to your card using a credit card.
- Use the "guest deposit" option for family members to add funds to your account.
- Check your account balance and activity.
- Report a lost or stolen card 24/7 to stop financial activity on your account.
Additional eCard use information
You can use your eCard for printing on campus, including printing from all print labs in classrooms and the SAIT Library.
If you are eligible for pre-paid printing account balances for your programs, you will have access to your funds by the start of the semester. These funds can only be used in the print labs and will not be valid at commercial merchant locations on campus. Once you have used all of your pre-paid printing funds, your own balance on your eCard will be used for printing.

To dispute a recent transaction, contact the card office within 14 days of the suspicious activity.
You can immediately deactivate your card if it is lost or stolen at SAIT eAccounts or via the mobile app.
Report your lost or stolen eCard by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line "Lost my SAIT eCard." Your eCard will be put on hold the following business day. You must also notify the Library, Wellness Centre and other applicable SAIT locations.
To replace your SAIT eCard, visit the card office or Office of the Registrar with a piece of government issued photo ID. Once you have purchased a replacement card, your old card will be permanently deactivated and the existing balance will be transferred over to your new card.
If your SAIT eCard is found before you replace it, you cannot reactivate it by phone or email — you must visit the card office in person. Due to security issues or possible fraudulent use, you cannot keep your old card if you have already replaced it.
Damaged, stolen or lost eCards will be replaced for a fee of $25. The only exception is when a card needs to be upgraded or is older than four years. There is an additional Calgary Transit fee for replacing the UPass sticker (if you had one.)
SAIT eCards that have malfunctioned with be evaluated and replaced free of charge.
Your SAIT eCard will be forfeited and returned to the Card Office is there is any evidence of tampering, fraud, abuse or other improper use. Any illegal activity involving your SAIT eCard could subject you to criminal charges.
In between semesters, your account balance will automatically carry over to the next year and you may continue to use your SAIT eCard.
Refunds will only be made if your relationship with SAIT ends, such as when you graduate. Upon your email request to the card office, account balances greater than $100 will be refunded within ten business days and sent to your address on file in the Office of the Registrar. Refunds will only be issued on user account deposits. Your account will then be deactivated by the card office. Reactivation will be allowed only after a replacement card fee is paid.
If your account has no activity for a period of two years it will be deactivated. Funds will be credited back to your SAIT eCard account in full if the deactivated account is reinstated at a later date.
All students are eligible to receive a SAIT eCard with their picture identification.
Your SAIT eCard serves as your identification (ID) and must be carried with you at all times while on SAIT campus. SAIT representatives may ask to see your SAIT eCard as a means of official identification.
Access to SAIT services will be subject to the policies of each department. Failure to comply with these policies may result in loss of privileges.
SAIT does not keep addresses or phone numbers within the SAIT eCard system.
SAIT will only use information collected for sales volumes and statistics.
SAIT is bound by the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).
