November 2020 LibLights: New Ways to Access Information
New Ways to Access Information at your Library
The Reg Erhradt Library is happy to announce two new services to support learning, teaching, and research at SAIT during these unprecedented times. As of October 26, the Library is offering a curbside pickup service as well as a digitization service for current students, faculty, and staff.
Despite our best efforts, not everything is available online. The Library has over 32000 titles on subjects related to the programs of study at SAIT, and we’re now letting you pick them up – curbside!
Starting a research paper? Check out a title that lays out a comprehensive overview of your topic. Ready to graduate? Grab a book that covers interviewing, career readiness, and more. Want to learn a new skill? We have how-to books that provide step by step instructions on a variety of practical skills, both at beginner and advanced levels of study.
Can’t make it in? Not to worry! You can request digitization of small sections of physical items in our collection. This service is limited to one chapter or 10% per book or one article per journal volume and exceptions may apply.
Full details of how to access these services are available on our COVID-19 Services page. Check the graphic below for an overview and for a reminder of our interlibrary loan service. Contact your liaison librarian if you’d like some recommendations for books within our collection – for your assignment, for your course, or for personal study.
