Reg Erhardt Library Launching New Service Platform
As of June 24, Library users will enjoy enhanced access to resources and one streamlined Library account.
The Library is migrating to the Alma services platform, which replaces both the EBSCO Discovery Search (EDS) interface and SIRSI, the management system the Library has been using for twenty years. Alma is a cloud-based, end-to-end resource management system that provides streamlined access to both electronic and print collections. Changes in resource availability will happen in real time as students and faculty browse our collections. Easier workflows for staff will mean quicker resource access for you.
What Do I Need to Do?
In most cases, nothing. When the system launches, your MySAIT username and password will be your new Library account login. While the Library’s main search interface will look a little different, its functionality will largely be the same. If you have a personalized folder in the Library’s main search tool, EDS, be sure to email its contents to yourself before June 24. Once Alma launches, your new Library account will automatically contain a research folder and information about the materials you’ve checked out.
Where Do I Go If I Need Help?
Library staff would be happy to show you around the new search interface. You can chat with us or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you’d like a more in-depth tour, feel free to arrange it with your Library Liaison.
