- Alexander Street
This streaming video service provides you with access to an extraordinary collection of some of the most academically focused videos and documentaries. Their collaborations with many of the top video producers worldwide (i.e. BBC, Bloomberg. Canal+, Discovery, National Geographic, CBS, CNN, HBO and many more) make this an essential resource for all academics.
- CBC Curio
CBC and Radio Canada deliver an educational streaming platform with thousands of commercial free Canadian television programs, documentaries, audio clips and archival data. Their content is wide ranging, current and available in English and French for students and researchers of all ages.
- Criterion On Demand
Criterion On Demand offers thousands of newly released, feature films, documentaries, English and French titles, and foreign language movies from recognized producers such as Paramount Pictures, Lionsgate Films, Alliance, National Geographic, Miramax, and many more. Their collection is very large, diverse and is great for research and recreational use.
- Films on Demand
Thousands of exceptional educational videos, documentaries, and programs produced by PBS, the History Channel, BBC, and other news channels, are available through this streaming service. Films on Demand ‘s content is updated frequently with high quality, relevant, and highly acclaimed documentaries and featured programs. Many of their videos are digitized and segmented into shorter film clips which will allow you to access specific portions of individual videos.
Free access to many of the most celebrated foreign films, award-winning movies, documentaries, and training videos from hundreds of leading producers such as PBS, Criterion Collection, Media Education Foundation and many more are available through this incredible streaming service. Commercial free films and videos can be viewed online from a computer, mobile phone, tablet or a television.

This is a collection of interactive images and 3-D simulations of the human anatomy. Browse through its extensive subject index or watch one of their vivid animated guided movies about different aspects of the human anatomy. This is an exceptional study tool for any health care professional.
NetAnatomy is an award-winning website produced by medical and health care experts with extensive knowledge of the human anatomy. This is a highly specialized web-based resource designed to teach anatomy to health care professionals.
- Safetycare Online Video Library
Safetycare develops occupational health and workplace safety videos. Many of their short films are specifically produced to be used as training tools for apprentices but their collection also includes content about ergonomics, personal safety, and human behavior which are all important aspects of any workplace environment.

- Britannica ImageQuest
This is a spectacular collection of millions of high-quality images from the National Portrait Gallery of London, the National Geographic Society, All Canada Photos and many more. They have a new collection of clip art from the Graphics Factory as well. All of the images found here are cleared for non-commercial and educational use only. You can search for specific images or browse through their albums. For example, a simple search of “Calgary in the spring” produced this beautiful photo of our city.
