Education
Christian has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Nigeria, and a Master’s and a Doctorate degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Alberta.
In addition, Christian has a Master’s in Construction Project Management which he obtained from Robert Gordon University in the UK where he graduated with distinction.
Finally, he has a diploma in Small and Medium Real Estate Development from the New York University School of Professional Studies and an Advanced Project Management Certificate from Stanford University’s Centre for Professional Development.
Professional accomplishments
Christian is a professional engineer and project manager, having won several awards including the best-graduating student, the Teaching Assistant Excellence award, and the NSE Outstanding Creativity Award.
Christian has several years of experience in consulting mainly in the areas of structural, geotechnical, and highway engineering.
Christian is currently working on research related to the application of computing, data science, AI, and machine learning to engineering and construction, reliability of structures, and fatigue and fracture of structures.
Fun facts
Christian is a father of three, including twins, and he loves playing ping pong when he is not busy with things at home, teaching, or researching.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
