Life at SAIT
Dr. Tom Morin has been an instructor in the SAIT School of Business since 2021, teaching project management, change management, and general management courses. Dr. Tom Morin’s favorite part of teaching is relating his industry experience to the course topics and supporting students through their individual and team assignments.
Education
Dr. Tom Morin is a SAIT alumnus (Instrumentation Technology, 1997) and holds a Doctor of Social Sciences and a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University, where he is also a recipient of the University Founders’ Award. As a continuous, life-long learner, Dr. Tom Morin has completed several professional designations and university certificates in a range of fields from web design to occupational health and safety. Dr. Tom Morin is an inter-provincial journeyman electrician and former electrical inspector. Dr. Tom Morin’s last book, Your Best Work: Create the Working Life That’s Right for You, rose to number 12 out of over 50,000 career development books on Amazon.ca.
Professional Accomplishments
After his 11-year military career, Dr. Tom Morin worked as a project manager and team leader in the energy industry for over 20 years before beginning his consulting practice and teaching at SAIT.
In 2023, Dr. Tom Morin and his wife founded the SAIT Veteran’s Achievement Award scholarship, and actively campaign for the associated endowment.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
