Life at SAIT
Dr. Radder joined the School of Business in January 2024, where she teaches Marketing Essentials. She is passionate about mentoring and facilitating students in diverse settings. Dr. Radder’s teaching philosophy is to foster enjoyable, stimulating, and challenging learning while respecting students' diverse learning styles and competencies. She emphasizes real-world applications, using case studies, simulations, and fieldwork to engage students, fostering a participatory and supportive classroom environment. Her advice to students: "Seize the opportunities that come your way, create them if needed, and be the best you can be." In her free time, Dr. Radder enjoys gardening, travel, and spending time in nature.
Education
Dr. Radder holds a Doctor of Commerce degree in business management from the University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. She also earned a master’s of commerce (Cum Laude) from the same university and a bachelor's in commerce (Honours) from Stellenbosch University. Her expertise lies in strategic marketing, consumer behavior, and research methodology.
Professional accomplishments
Dr. Radder has extensive international experience in higher education, having taught and conducted research at Nelson Mandela University and Port Elizabeth Technikon in South Africa. She has guided students from undergraduate to PhD levels and contributed to course development. As a Visiting Professor since 2007 at Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University Mosbach, Germany, she has delivered intensive courses in marketing and intercultural management.

Dr. Radder's research interests include Marketing, Retail, Consumer Behavior, Customer Experience, Hospitality, and Adventure Tourism. Her publications reflect a commitment to impactful research, with award-winning studies on marine tourism and customer experience frameworks. Her research is recognized with awards like the National Research Foundation Researcher Ratings, the Port Elizabeth Technikon Researcher of the Year Award, and international conference accolades. She has published extensively, with over 49 refereed articles and 50 conference papers.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
