Online Learning Resources
Connect with online learning facilitators
Once you are enrolled in your online course, you'll be assigned an online facilitator, instructor or a tutor to ask questions and receive feedback throughout your course. They will monitor your progress, grade and provide feedback on your coursework and assessments.
Buy your textbooks and eBooks online
Purchase your textbooks, eBooks and reading materials from the SAIT Bookstore online or in-person. Materials can be shipped by Canada Post or picked up in-person from the Bookstore.
Access online learning materials
You can access online learning resources from the Reg Erhardt Library. Have your SAIT ID number and library PIN ready to access these resources.
Academic support to help you succeed
- Access learning skills workshops, academic coaching, tutoring and financial advising.
- Personal, educational and career-related counselling through Student Development and Counselling.
- Create an account on My Career Hub to view our online job board, book personal consultations, register for employment workshops, track co-curricular activities and more.
- If you live outside of Canada, SAIT's International Centre provides admissions assistance, advising and more.
Most SAIT online courses are delivered via the Brightspace (D2L) learning management system, which can be accessed by Apple Mac OS or MS Windows-based systems. Some of our online courses and programs ( such as Oil and Gas Operations and Maintenance) are delivered via a different online learning platform — check the course description on sait.ca to make sure you can access the online learning platform required before starting your desired course.
ProctorU online proctoring
Most of our online courses include assessments like midterms and final exams which — in most cases — must be supervised by a proctor. We offer various proctoring options including live, online proctoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and every day of the year with ProctorU. A functional webcam and microphone are required to use this service. Learn more about ProctorU's technical requirements.
Canada Alberta Job Grant
Ask your employer about the Canada Alberta Job Grant (CAJG) — an employer-driven training program where employers and government share the cost of training new and existing employees to increase their knowledge and skills to meet the needs of Alberta's changing economy.
