Update: monitoring COVID-19 confirmed or presumptive cases

SAIT continues to monitor the public health situation and promote and use mitigations to reduce the transmission risk of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses. COVID-19 illness management and support, with emergency response, will continue as allowed with the cooperation of those involved.

SAIT maintains the confidentiality of community members and sends targeted communications to those in close contact. If on-campus classes must be postponed, those impacted will be informed directly. If you have case-specific questions, call AHS at 811.

If you're learning or working on campus and have COVID-19 symptoms, are a close contact of someone with COVID-19 or have a confirmed case of COVID-19, call the COVID-19 Student Hotline at 825.413.1763 available 24/7.

Cases affecting the SAIT campus will be updated daily Monday through Friday.

Theory classes to continue online until Feb. 28

Due to the rapid increase in Omicron cases in Alberta, SAIT has made the decision to continue with its hybrid model of program delivery with theory classes remaining online until Monday, Feb. 28. On-campus labs will continue to run in person as scheduled.

Vaccine requirement

As of Jan. 1, 2022, all students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to access SAIT campuses or participate in SAIT-sanctioned activities. A negative COVID-19 test result will no longer be accepted in lieu of proof of vaccination unless there is a medical exemption or accommodation on protected grounds in place.

Student support:

  • If you are unvaccinated and have on-campus classes scheduled, please call our Student Support line at 1-800-406-4726 to connect with an advisor.
  • Is your vaccine regime still in progress? Contact vaccine.verification@sait.ca.
  • For other student advising questions not related to vaccinations, please submit an online ticket with your question for a personal response
