SAIT Update 03.01.2021
Get into the game
For second-year Radio, Television and Broadcast News (RTBN) student Lynn Mathers, online gaming isn’t new for her — she has been gaming for nearly 10 years and reaps the benefits.
“You meet new people, learn new skills, and pick up a new hobby all at the same time. Having fun, even online, is so much more important than people even realize,” says Mathers.
Celebrate Open Education Week at SAIT
What are OER? Open educational resources (OER) are teaching, learning and research resources — textbooks, readings, multimedia files, software, assessment tools and even entire courses — that use an open licence so that they can be used, re-mixed and shared for free. OER provide many benefits to students and faculty at SAIT, including cost savings and increased accessibility.
👉 Support Open Education Resources at SAIT:
- let your instructors know you'd like to use OER
- if your instructor already uses OER, nominate them for an Athena Award from Saitsa
- learn more about OER at SAIT
- check out the new digital escape room
- drop in for a discussion today at 2 pm
