Catherine Lindland - Director, Learner Services

As a senior student affairs leader with more than 25 years of experience, Catharine Lindland leads and empowers a team dedicated to student success — building and maintaining effective development programs and strategies contributing directly to student retention, academic success and career transition.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in education and a Master of Education from the University of Calgary in Adult, Community and Higher Education. At her core, Catharine is an educator, relationship-builder, trained facilitator and an authentic student-centred leader.

Prior to SAIT, Catherine spent time at Mount Royal University in various leadership roles, overseeing departments dedicated to student advising, learning and leadership, an Indigenous student centre and new student orientation.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
