Tansi/Oki (hello), I’m a Cree and Blackfoot woman from the community of Maskwacis, Alberta, in Treaty 6. I'm a mother of three children, and I came to Calgary in 2016 to go to college and have a better life.
My background is in early childhood education/higher education and legal assistant work. I graduated from Bow Valley College in June 2022 with my legal assistant diploma. I also have a family and youth support certificate from the RIEL Institute for Education and Learning.
I aim to make a difference for Indigenous students of all ages and walks of life. So whether you need something printed off or a space to come and study, we’re here. Come say hi, smudge, and have a coffee with us.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
