Events at SAIT during COVID-19

Effective Feb. 9, the Restrictions Exemption Program (REP), along with most associated restrictions, came to an end. With that, in-person events, gatherings, and meetings at SAIT are currently permitted.

Are you sick or a close contact?

Help is available.

If you’ve been on campus with symptoms, are a close contact or have a confirmed case, see COVID-19 illness management for guidance.

If you become ill while on campus, notify your instructor/leader who will assist you through our first aid procedures.

Event hosts should continue to evaluate the need and benefits of gathering in person. Please consider options such as moving your event online or outside, limiting capacity to allow for distancing, or restricting events solely for the SAIT community.

Follow all current guidance for businesses, venues, gatherings, capacity limits and masking outlined in Step 1 of the Alberta Government’s COVID-19 public health actions. Follow all current COVID-19 public health actions to help Albertans limit the spread of COVID-19 when gathering in groups, including all current venue capacity limits.

  • Advise attendees to stay home if they are sick or have any symptoms.
  • Remind attendees they are not permitted to attend if they are in isolation (have tested positive for COVID-19 on a rapid or molecular test).
  • Remind attendees they are not permitted to attend if they are in quarantine (if they have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days).
