Director of Global Corporate Development
Craig Hess has a keen sense of what makes a great team, and a well-honed ability to build and sustain one. As director of Global Corporate Development, he identifies the character traits, talents and skillsets of individuals that will mesh to deliver exceptional customer service and all-around positive results.
With an eye on delivering a superior client experience, Craig builds capacity to lead by example. His diligence, passion and thought-provoking approach to problem solving is meant to be contagious. He empowers his team through autonomy, fully respecting that everyone will do what it is they do best in their own way.
Craig joined SAIT after more than 17 years in pharmaceutical sales and marketing. His business acumen, training and marketing know-how continues to help grow and influence individuals and organizations — and prepare them for the changing world of work.
Manager, Emerging Markets
In her role as manager, emerging markets, Lora Bucsis is something of a modern day workforce shape-shifter. Alberta’s economic profile is changing and Lora helps organizations help their people transition their skillsets to meet the changing face of work.
As an early adopter of all things new and techy, Lora naturally keeps her finger on the pulse of local industry shifts and macro trends happening globally. As someone with a penchant for academia, studying these trends is an integral part of delivering informed recommendations. Balance is critical. She’ll be the first to tell you that it’s not just about what people need to know (i.e. technical skills). It’s also about how they need to work (essential skills).
Lora has been at SAIT for nearly 20 years.She knows the full scope of expertise on hand within the various schools and how best to navigate the network.Her positive attitude and nimble approach makes for tailored training programs that deliver results.
Client Development Manager, Key Accounts
Katyryna Gaudet manages Corporate Training and International Solutions’ key accounts including energy, manufacturing, transportation, health care and retail. Her focus is on building strategic relationships, researching her clients’ training needs and coordinating customized solutions across SAIT’s various schools of instruction.
The relationship-building piece is a big one in Katyryna’s role as she works to align identified training needs with targeted expertise at SAIT. She sustains those relationships for the long term, remaining actively engaged following any program delivery, helping clients identify opportunities to leverage their training investment by sharing related programming within and across their organizations.
Katyryna is a true advocate for lifelong learning and leading by example. Beyond her 13 years of work experience in sales and marketing, she has a Bachelor of Science in psychology and history, a myriad of certificates in management, human resources, sales and business development, and a recently achieved MBA (2019).
Client Development Manager, Indigenous
Lauren Bishop is Corporate Training and International Solutions’ Client Development Manager, Indigenous. She works with Indigenous communities to identify training gaps and help build training programs that align with local economic development opportunities. Customization of programs shines in their delivery.
Lauren has a learned respect for Indigenous peoples and cultures. She’s a strong advocate for ensuring educational opportunities reach those who might otherwise be excluded. Her genuine, empathetic and engaged nature invites trust and nurtures mutually beneficial relationships.
Her degree is in communications, and she’s got sales-related training going back to her days in restaurant/bar management, but it’s mostly Lauren’s listening skills that make her exceptional in her current role. She’s invested in learning, embracing and then helping to advance the Indigenous storyline.
Client Development Manager
Amy Harvey is a client development manager with SAIT’s Corporate Training and International Solutions. She delves beneath the surface, conducting research and engaging one-on-one with key personnel, listening intently to fully understand her client organizations’ operations and long-term business goals. Then she helps assemble customized training solutions geared to address any identified skills gaps.
Before joining SAIT, Amy spent nearly two decades in advertising and media sales where the end product was both tangible and temporary in nature. Her focus has shifted to building progressive, long-term relationships and selling corporate development and training solutions designed to deliver ongoing rewards.
It’s a good fit for Amy. She respects and genuinely enjoys lifelong learning, goal setting and challenging the status quo.
Client Development Manager
As a client development manager, Chris Anstey does a lot of group consulting with his not-for-profit customers around budget planning and annual organizational training goals. His clients in both the transportation and the oil and gas portfolio might require a completely different level of support. Chris makes it his business to get to know and understand the industries in which his clients operate.
After more than a decade coaching athletes, strengthening teams and managing expectations, Chris is a well-rehearsed relationship builder, issues identifier, problem solver and re-enforcer. His pragmatic approach and empathetic nature evolved through his work with young entrepreneurs in a not-for-profit setting. He understands the challenges and can provide realistic training solutions.
Chris believes that legacy should be part of everything we do. Lifelong learning is a big piece of that and he’s happy to be helping influence corporate training and development activities.
Client Development Manager
As client development manager with SAIT’s Corporate Training and International Solutions department, Joy Gloer helps organizations to identify their training gaps and then fill those gaps with targeted curriculum. She strategically aligns an organization’s training needs with position competencies, and then coordinates the delivery of training solutions to fit.
Joy brings a holistic approach to addressing her clients’ training needs. She takes the time to dig beneath the surface to understand the core challenges, to flesh out any behavioural changes the client hopes to realize and to articulate how success will ultimately be measured.
Her background as a healthcare practitioner (massage therapy, Reiki) helps explain Joy’s professional, big-picture approach to problem-solving. Years of experience in sales, marketing and business ownership underpin her determination to deliver timely, quality customer service — and measurable results.
Client Engagement Associate
As a client engagement associate, Kim Vlastelic collaborates with corporate training champions to identify emerging needs, align those needs with related SAIT expertise, and strategize the delivery of customized, competency-based training solutions.
Before joining SAIT, Kim spent 20 years focused on supply chain management within the energy sector. She’s an accomplished problem-solver, a strategic connector and relationship builder, a dedicated collaborator, and a promoter of organizational growth and success.
The digital transformation is upon us. New markets are emerging and new skill sets are in demand. Leveraging her own transferrable skills, and her degree in business, finance and marketing, Kim is in an excellent position to help clients help their organizations up-skill or re-skill as necessary to keep ahead of the curve.

In her role as client engagement associate with SAIT's Corporate Training Solutions, Amber McArthur is responsible for engaging new companies with a human-centred approach to provide a personalized, strategic solution to each of her clients' training needs.
With an extensive background in recruitment and human resources, Amber brings strong relationship building, client service, communication skills and understanding of what it takes to develop people to be successful in the workplace.
Amber is most excited about the challenge that each day presents and pushes herself to be creative and innovative in providing solutions that are ahead of trends, personalized and successful in today’s competitive market.
