SAIT's School of Hospitality and Tourism has been named one of the Top 50 Hospitality and Hotel Management Schools in the world for 2018 - the only Canadian school to be honoured.
This is the third consecutive year we've made the noteworthy list from CEOWorld Magazine, which ranks each school by performance, looking at criteria such as academic reputation, job placement rate, and admission eligibility.
"It's both humbling and exciting to be recognized as one of the world's premier learning institutions in the areas of hospitality, tourism and the culinary arts," says James Overall, Dean, School of Hospitality and Tourism.
"I couldn't be more proud of our faculty and team for all that they do, and I know that they are also honoured by this recognition."
Overall says the school's mission begins and ends with empowering student success, with the greatest reward being able to see just how many alumni have incredible careers and make their mark on the industry.
SAIT is the only Canadian institution to make the cut among those from around the world, such as New York State's Cornell University and Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland.
The School of Hospitality and Tourism offers diploma, certificate and apprenticeship programs in Professional Cooking, Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Leadership, and Travel and Tourism, among others.
