SAIT top workplace for volunteerism

SAIT has been named the Best Workplace in Alberta for Volunteerism and Community Involvement by Alberta Venture Magazine.
Brandie Yarish, Associate Vice President of Employee Services, was pleased to accept the prize on SAIT's behalf.
"This award truly belongs to all of us," says Yarish. "Together we contribute to a better campus for students and a better community in Calgary. I felt a tremendous surge of pride hearing SAIT's name associated with this honour."
In presenting SAIT the top prize, Alberta Venture cited our work supporting students, raising funds for United Way and participation in Corporate Challenge. The real clincher, however, was our 100 Projects Project.
SAIT is rallying alumni, students, staff, faculty and partners to deliver 100 charitable projects for 100 years of SAIT. This centennial-themed opportunity to do good works both inside and beyond the SAIT community is helping in many ways.
"The acknowledgement is one more confirmation that our efforts are paying off as we complete these 100 worthwhile projects," says Yarish.
