Qualifying projects are focused on developing novel technologies that:
- Decrease energy consumption - including energy efficiency in building and industrial processes
- Explore alternative pathways for carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions - including biological sequestration and using flue gas emissions for CO2 conversion, use and permanent disposal
- Reduce methane emissions to the atmosphere - from energy production and other industrial, agricultural and waste-management processes
- Reduce GHGs through sustainable approaches to energy production and usage - including cleaner fossil fuel production/processing, renewable energy, bioenergy, alternative energy sources (e.g. fuel switching) and cleaner transportation
The innovation services ARIS offers its industry partners are a perfect fit for the pre-commercialization stages this funding covers: prototype development, field pilot tests, and commercial demonstration projects.
