Co-op student calls ARIS Lab home for a yearJune 08, 2015
Our work-term student Matthew Kurylyk has always been passionate about the environment.
Originally from Saskatoon, Matthew and his family moved to Calgary when he was five years old. His work term started in January 2015 and ends in December 2015.
He assists ARIS in its Environmental Technology applied-research projects. This ranges from making chemicals, setting up software, running lab instruments and compiling and interpreting data. During one of his projects, he worked with industry partner 3E Remediation Dynamics Inc. to test a new soil conditioner in treating chloride-impacted soils.
"It has been really interesting to see the entire process of having a client come in, developing a plan, and providing them with the results. It has been really good being here and getting the experience."Matthew KurylykWork-term student at ARIS
