SAIT recognized for corporate culture
Calgary, AB — SAIT's strong corporate culture has resulted in the post-secondary being ranked as one of Alberta's Top Employers for the fifth time in the annual list released by MediaCorp Canada Inc.
SAIT continues to make employee success a priority. A key initiative in the new strategic plan, SAIT is working to revitalize engagement programs and continue to cultivate best practices with a new, comprehensive plan focusing on recruitment, retention and development.
"We state it very simply in our strategic plan: employee success is central to SAIT's success," says Brandie Yarish, Director, Employee Services. "Our new People Plan is helping us create the work environment that keeps great employees here, and attracts new faculty and staff who want to be part of what SAIT has to offer."
Established in 1916, SAIT employs more than 2,500 faculty and staff and provides skills-focused education and training to more than 50,000 people annually. Close partnerships with industry put SAIT's job-ready graduates in high demand — the graduate employment rate is 95 per cent.
In addition to the Alberta's Top Employers ranking, SAIT is one of Canada's 10 Most Admired Corporate Cultures.
Employee recognition is a significant piece of SAIT's corporate culture, including instructor excellence awards and Celebrate SAIT Day — a full day of educational sessions and entertainment dedicated to the faculty and staff to thank them for their hard work.
Alberta's Top Employers are chosen based on criteria including everything from the physical environment, to employee communications, training and skills development and financial benefits and compensation.
SAIT is one of Canada's most exciting destinations for post-secondary education, offering more than 100 career programs and over 1,400 part-time courses (including online and distance) that position people for success in technology, trades and business.
