An energetic and enthusiastic marketing, business development and product professional, Lora Bucsis brings her strategic thinking and passion for helping others to SAIT’s new School for Advanced Digital Technology.
Bucsis joined SAIT in 2001 after working for a number of startups. Looking for a community-based organization with a focus on serving people, she took on a job marketing for Continuing Education and then brought her expertise to roles in Corporate Training and Corporate Development and Applied Research, each position building on her skills and culminating in her current role as Manager of Digital Adoption and Training for SAIT’s DX Talent Hub.
Through her time at SAIT, Bucsis has worked extensively with the reskilling ecosystem to help build programs and systems to help people find their passion, break down barriers and pivot to a rewarding career.
Awards and achievements:
Leading the creation and funding for EmPower,
Women in Trades — the first program of its kind in southern Alberta, which helps women start their career in trades;
Leading the development of the initial programming for the School for Advanced Digital Technology.
