Although he has a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, Andrew Campbell traded counselling for computer science with a diploma in Information Technology Computer Systems at SAIT where he is now teaching the next generation of system administrators and analysts through courses he has created.
Campbell, who worked as a business analyst in the oil and gas sector for industry giants such as TransCanada, Husky Energy and ConocoPhillips before delving into technical support, jumped at the chance to return to SAIT — this time as an instructor — five years after graduating.
Over four years, Campbell has expanded his own knowledge of IT systems, while creating and updating courses on security and scripting that reflect this ever-evolving industry, ensuring his students are career-ready. He shares his passion for systems security and the high-level, multifunctional programming language Python on his blog, where he posts weekly articles.
