1. What are the pool regulations for swimming?
Swimming parties aren’t available until after 1:15 p.m. The parties run during open swim time, there will be other patrons in the pool at the same.
We have a shallow end, but it is still 3.5 feet deep and some children may not be able to touch the bottom.
There will be two lifeguards on duty, but they are NOT party supervisors. The parents are responsible for entertaining the children in the pool.
All children under 8 years old must wear a lifejacket and be supervised by an adult who is in the water at all times. We require 1 adult in the pool for every 3 children under eight (8).
SAIT has lifejackets available for use during the parties.
Children must perform a swim test for the lifeguards and if they cannot complete it, they must wear a lifejacket. Information about the swim test will be sent out with the confirmation for any swimming parties booked.
2. How does parking work?
Two parking passes for the P1 parking are included in the booking which is beside the ACAD/Jubilee parkade click here for a map. You can access the parking lot by entering through the 10th Street or 14th Street entrances.
For parents who are dropping off their children, they may either park in the P2 parking lot for a maximum of 15 minutes at no charge, or they may drop their children off in the cul-de-sac.
3. Can I bring my own food?
No, SAIT does not permit any outside food. All food must be ordered through Chartwells, SAIT’s on campus catering company. If you wish to purchase additional food, please contact Chartwells at 403.210.5656 or visit their website at www.dineoncampus.ca/sait
4. How many people can I invite? Can I have more than 12?
The party package accommodates 12 people, however, we can accommodate up to 24 people. There is an additional charge per person of $13.50 for everyone exceeding the 12 people included in the package.
If the parents are acting as chaperones only, and they are not eating or participating, we do not include them in that number.
5. When do I have to pay for the party?
You must pay for the party package at the time of the booking.
6. Can I bring my own decorations
There are generic party decorations such as streamers and a “Happy Birthday” sign.
Additional decorations, pinatas, balloons and games are allowed as long as you clean up after yourself. You are not allowed to tape anything to the wall and you won’t have access to the party room prior to.
Paint and confetti are prohibited.
7. What is Zumba all about?
Zumba parties are designed for kids 4 to 12 years old. These high-energy fitness parties are packed with choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love. The kids will also participate in fun group games coordinated by the instructor.
8. Are the cakes peanut-free?
All our cakes are nut free; however, the cakes are prepared where nuts may be used as ingredients.
9. Will the attendant coordinate games?
No, the attendant is there to help your party run smoothly, guide you through your itinerary and set up food. They are not there to coordinate games, babysit or entertain the party guests. If you book a Zumba or Yoga party, the instructor is there to entertain your group for the hour.
10. When do I need to confirm the details, such as numbers, food, cake theme?
All final details must be confirmed the Monday prior to your party.
11. What happens if I need to cancel my party?
Cancellations must be made one week prior to the event. An automatic cancellation fee of $50 will be applied.
