SAIT community surpasses 100 charitable projects goal

In celebration of SAIT's centennial year, the SAIT community was challenged to complete 100 charitable projects by June 2017. SAIT alumni, staff and students have already reached that goal and are well on their way to 150 completed projects.

This past year, SAIT employees, alumni, students, partners and friends have been busy — being charitable that is. Setting a target of 100 charitable projects, we've reached our goal and we're still going strong.

"It's incredible — surpassing 100 projects," says Cathy Downy, Centennial Director. "It's a real testament to everyone who participated. We're so proud of what we've done together for our community.

"The 100 Projects Project is such a great opportunity for us to take our passion and enthusiasm and share it with our city, province, country and the world — we've had projects in our own backyard and around the globe. It's inspiring."

Setting our aim high

And in true SAIT fashion, simply hitting our goal of 100 projects wasn't enough. A new goal of 150 — in honour of Canada's birthday — has been set.

A project can be big or small. Volunteering with a group at a senior's home, school, or helping with a neighbourhood cleanup counts as a charitable endeavour. Even if you've already completed it, you're still able to add your project to the pile by contacting Jodi Currie.
