Life at SAIT 

Mary joined SAIT in 2000 and teaches Business Productivity Tools and Technology, Technical Skills for HR Professionals, and Organizational Behavior. As a seasoned instructor, Mary’s joy for the classroom has remained steadfast, as has her desire to contribute to her students’ personal and professional transformations. Her commitment through her time at SAIT has always been to support the student journey and find innovative ways to teach everyday business tools to her students. Inside and outside of the classroom, Mary offers encouragement to her students to go beyond what they think they can achieve.  

Outside work, Mary enjoys sewing, serging and crafting.   

Education 

Mary holds a bachelor’s in computer information systems from DeVry University, USA, and a master’s in education (curriculum and instruction) from the University of Phoenix, USA. She is a Microsoft Office Expert and a Microsoft Certified Educator.  

Professional Accomplishments

Before joining SAIT, Mary was a trainer for Seltec Computers Services.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
