Tawnshi (hello), my name is Madison Kelsey, and I am a proud member of the Métis Nation of Alberta. Learning through my heritage and experiences, I strive to create a supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally while staying connected to their cultural roots. I obtained a triple major in Human Resources, Management and Marketing and walked among the Indigenous class of 2024.

I am committed to providing mentorship, guidance and support tailored to our Indigenous students’ unique needs and empowering them throughout their educational journey.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
