The Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) is kicking off 2023 with an impressive position on CEOWORLD Magazine’s list of Best Business Schools in the World. The SAIT School of Business has made the list for the third year — holding strong as the second highest ranked business school in Canada and #51 in world.

SAIT’s School of Business is one of the largest business schools in western Canada, and puts significant stock in all things industry driven, starting with instruction delivered by faculty who are experts in the field. As the only Canadian polytechnic on the list, SAIT’s approach to applied learning and connection with industry sets the institution apart as a business school.

“Students choosing to study business at SAIT experience applied learning at its best through meaningful opportunities to connect with industry, and a caring community of faculty and staff who prioritize student success and well-being,” says Janet Segato, Dean of the School of Business. “I am proud to once again be recognized on a global scale by CEOWORLD for our excellent programming and the success of SAIT graduates.”

The SAIT School of Business, established in 1966, offers a wide range of programming from certificates and diplomas to an applied degree and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. The School of Business provides hands-on learning opportunities for SAIT students to meaningfully connect with industry and apply their knowledge through work-integrated learning.

Notable alumni from the SAIT School of Business include:

  • Albert Myles Mejia (BA ’14) | Mejia is the Creative Director, By Myles Design and Print Studios. He founded Legal Hustle Clothing and is the creator of YYC SOLEdiers.
  • Emily Clark (BBA ’14) | Clark has since earned a CPA designation and is Senior Manager, Governance, Risk and Compliance with KPMG Canada.
  • Jay Westman (BA ’84) | Westman co-founded Jayman BUILT in Calgary. He is also heavily involved in giving back to the community.
  • Nicky Nash (BA ’08) | Nash is Executive Director of the Kids UpFront Foundation — an organization focused on connecting children and families to enriching experiences.

The CEOWORLD Best Business Schools in the World for 2023 was determined through an independent survey of 350,000 business executives, graduates, industry professionals and employers, among others. Rankings are based on metrics which include reputation, admission eligibility, job placement rate and tuition and fees.
