New student orientation
Start your semester on the right foot by attending student orientation.
Winter 2027 orientation will be held on Monday Jan. 4 and Tuesday Jan. 5, 2027. Further details will be shared closer to the event.
New student handbook
The New Student Handbook was created to guide you to all the supports and services you may need during your first-year at SAIT. Download a copy of the guide to use as a resource and reminder that you are never alone on your SAIT journey.

New to SAIT? Come visit our Student Services pop-up booths! Booths will be active from 11 am - 1 pm from October 5 - 8.
Locations in Stan Grad and Senator Burns buildings. Visit a booth to learn about and connect with the services you need to thrive at SAIT.

Find Fred! contest
Students who visit the pop-up booths can participate in our Find Fred! contest during this event!
Pick up a Find Fred! activity booklet at any of our booths and collect stamps by finding Fred at each pop-up. Find Fred at least 5 times to be entered into our grand prize draw for a SAIT tote bag containing an insulated water bottle and $50 Bookstore gift card!
Ready to submit your booklet? Visit the First Year Experience booth in Stan Grad, from 11 am - 1 pm on October 8, to show us your completed activity booklet and enter your name into the draw. You can also drop off your completed activity booklet at the First Year Experience office, KA305, open from 8 am - 4 pm.
Booklet submission will close at 4 pm on Friday, October 9.

Join SAIT's insights research community
Have your voice heard, and you win prizes all year long!
You are invited to join the SAIT Insights Research Community. Students who join have a chance to win prizes by simply providing opinions on various topics related to SAIT through short monthly surveys. Community members may also be invited to participate in photo shoots, focus groups, and more.
Last year, members of the panel won over $3,500 in gift cards.
Join by Dec. 31, 2026, and you will be entered to win one of two $200 Amazon gift cards or one of six $100 Amazon gift cards.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
