You could say a gut feeling brought Sujata to SAIT.⁣

SAIT is leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, community builders, originals.

Meet our #SAITfaces

You could say a gut feeling brought Sujata to SAIT.

“I was working out in Saskatchewan when I saw SAIT was hiring for a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist. At the time, I just knew I had to apply for this role — I’m glad I did.”

Sujata, the feeling is mutual. 🙂

As a member of the Safety and Community team #HereAtSAIT, Sujata ensures the SAIT community is healthy and safe while conducting activities on campus. ⁣

“A truly rewarding experience has been the key role our department has played during the pandemic. Many areas within SAIT depended on HSE to provide exceptional service — everything from having cleaning and disinfection protocols in place to providing expertise on what PPE to wear based on the stakeholders’ activities.”

She adds, “There’s so much exposure to many industries at SAIT, which enables me to grow as a safety professional, and to learn new concepts that better me as a worker and person. One day I’ll be helping with the dental clinic protocols and the next I’ll be working on cleaning and disinfecting protocols within the School of Hospitality and Tourism. Simply put, it’s fun.”

A lot has changed in 18 months but our commitment to safety remains the same. Thank you to the countless #SAITFaces, including Sujata, who work endlessly to keep our community safe.
