Why SAIT?

SAIT is home to state-of-the-art learning spaces — including the Art Smith Aero Centre, Centre for Rail Training and Technology, Clayton Carroll Automotive Centre and Point Trotter Campus. These facilities are set up the same way as offices, shops, warehouses, and work bays are in industry.
Our instructors are experts, equipped with years of experience working in the fields they teach in and they keep a close connection with the industry to ensure their skills stay up to date.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
