2025 SAIT Giving Day: Get ready to make a difference!
At SAIT, each bold idea and bright future begins with a single spark — your support! From student awards and cutting-edge learning labs to bold student-led innovations and a new heart of campus life, your gift will begin to make an impact the moment you click.
SAIT’s ninth annual Giving Day — a 24-hour event to raise funds to support students — returns Tuesday, Oct. 28, starting at 10 am with a focus on three priority funding areas.
Real Students
Fueling ambition. Empowering futures.
Funds raised go directly to developing and delivering programs and services for students facing barriers to completing their education, including food insecurity, low income, accessibility and diverse learning needs.
Thanks to donor support, students like Mechanical Engineering Technology student Rachel Kostynuk (pictured) and her support dog can use the Sensory Calming Room on campus when feeling overstimulated.
Real Places
Building spaces that inspire.
Help build the future heart of SAIT — The Taylor Family Campus Centre — a space for connection, collaboration and community and the new home for the Trojans, complete with a new triple gym and arena, fitness studios, restaurant and much more.
Real Possibilities
Turning ideas into action.
Your gift will support the Innovative Student Projects Fund, which provides financial support to students to bring their creative classroom-based capstone projects to life. Students take on a real-world problem and work together to devise an innovative solution that impacts the community and drives real change. It’s applied research in action!
As part of their final capstone project, Mechanical Engineering Technology students (pictured) were able to apply for and receive funding to turn their idea into reality.
How you can get involved
🏆 Take bold action!
Throughout the 24-hour event, you can take on a Giving Day challenge for a chance to win prizes and match gifts to multiply your impact!
Pro tip: Anyone can make an impact on the lives of SAIT students. Build your own community of philanthropy among your friends, family or coworkers by inspiring them with your own participation in a challenge or inviting them to join in.
🎁 Make a gift today, and shape tomorrow!
Whether you choose to give $5, $50 or $500, it has the potential to improve the student experience by relieving financial burdens, creating new and inclusive spaces and generating initiatives for students to learn and grow. When you make a gift of $5 or more through SAIT, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for the value of your donation.

It doesn't matter how big [your gift] is. Big or small, every penny counts. On a personal note, I know it's very difficult for students now to make a decision to go into post-secondary education. But sometimes, even just a small amount of money will make a big difference in other people's lives.

It feels great to join this donor family. It's leaving my legacy behind and it helps represent what I believe in, what I enjoy contributing to, and it's helping other students achieve the same goals that I once had.

🙏 Show your gratitude!
If you are at SAIT’s main campus, stop by our Gratitude Booth at Johnson-Cobbe Energy Centre on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 10 am to 2 pm for light snacks, fun activities and a chance to win prizes.
Students are encouraged to write their own personal "thank you" to donors, while donors are invited to share why they choose to give to SAIT and support student success.
We’d also like to thank Guardian Partners, who have generously provided matching dollars for supporting student-focused initiatives and programs.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
