Dr. Babich teaches in the BA and BBA Economics and Marketing streams and has been at SAIT since 2010.
Education
Dr. Babich has an MBA in Information Technology Management (MBA ITM) from Athabasca University and a PhD in Business Administration (Management) from Northcentral University. He has several certificates and diplomas, including Telecommunications Engineering Technology, Management Development, Telecommunications Management, and Advanced Management. Additionally, he is designated as a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET), SCMP, CPSM, IFPSM, FCMI and Chartered Manager.
Professional accomplishments
Dr. Babich also received the prestigious Alberta Centennial Medal, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, and Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for having significantly contributed to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada. He has been inducted into the National Society of Success and Leadership (USA). Dr. Babich was also Director at Large for the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) Alberta Board of Governance. Additionally, he has received the Certificate of Commendation for Service to Scouting Canada.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
