Life at SAIT
Helle teaches in the BA and BBA Supply Chain Management stream and has been with SAIT since August 2022.
She is a faculty mentor for the SAIT Supply Chain Management. She also volunteers to support the clubs’ Industry Nights and networking events.
Helping students find their purpose, choose their careers, as well as helping them connect with industry, are some of the many aspects of teaching Helle is passionate about. She encourages an entrepreneurial mindset in the classroom. Through her nurturing personality, she is an expert in fostering curiosity, positivity, and open-mindedness in her students.
Education
She has a BA Diploma (Supply Chain Management) from SAIT and an MBA from Aalborg, Denmark. Helle is green belt certified with Go Lean Six Sigma.
Professional accomplishments
Helle spent 24 years in the Danish insurance industry and served in various roles, including sales manager, head of development and head of personal insurance for leading insurance corporations, including Sygeforsikringen and If Insurance. She was also a restaurant/event catering company owner and an instructor for the Danish Insurance Academy. Her most recent role was as the sales manager for DSV Global Logistics in Calgary. In her industry career, Helle fulfilled training and development responsibilities, as well as training sales and customer service staff. She also gained expertise in product development, partnerships, digitization, process optimization and executive leadership.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
