Financing Your Education
Awards, bursaries and funding opportunities are available to help cover the cost of your Continuing Education course.

Awards for SAIT Alumni
The following awards are exclusive to SAIT alumni who have received a SAIT-issued credential for an apprenticeship, certificate (credit or non-credit), diploma or degree.
Awards are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cover the partial tuition cost of a single eligible Continuing Education course. You will need to apply them using a discount code when you register online.
Digital Trailblazer Alumni Fund
Funded by the Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund (OCIF), the Digital Trailblazer Alumni Fund supports graduates returning to SAIT to develop or build on their digital skills and expertise across multiple sectors. Eligible registrants can apply for a one-time discount code that covers up to 80% of the value of a digital bootcamp, micro-credential or course.
If you’re a SAIT graduate interested in a digital-specific course, we recommend first applying for this alumni award while funding is available.
Applying discount codes
Discount codes cannot be applied to a course (section) you’ve started or completed.
If you wish to apply a discount to an eligible course that you’ve already registered for but not started, you’ll need to drop the course ($50 admin fee) and re-register (assuming there’s still a seat available) to apply the discount.
Contact ConEdAdvising@sait.ca for more information.

Canada Training Credit
Launched in 2019, the Canada Training Credit (CTC) is a refundable tax credit. This credit will reduce the tax owed on your income tax return, and if it is higher than your amount owed, you’ll receive a refund for the difference.
The CTC is available for eligible tuition and other fees paid for courses taken in 2020 and subsequent tax years. It's accumulated at a rate of $250 per year, up to a lifetime limit of $5,000.
If you’re a permanent resident of Canada aged 26 to 66 and meet all other Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) criteria (including meeting minimum working income and maximum net income conditions set for the tax year you’re claiming the credit for), you’re eligible to claim the CTC on your income tax return.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.
SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
