Overview
This course aims to provide working professionals with fundamental insights around mental health management. You’ll explore essential strategies to enhance mental well-being both at work and in your personal life. Led by experienced instructors with a background in mental health, this course offers practical tools and foundational knowledge to help you navigate common stressors and maintain a healthier work-life balance.
As a group, you'll work collectively to gain a better understanding of mental health stressors and their impact on colleagues, families and yourselves. You'll learn to identify common mental health stressors, know what to do in a crisis situation, how to approach challenging situations at work and how to build a personal mental health plan to utilize available resources.
Upon completion of this course, you'll:
- understand common mental health challenges or stressors
- know how to build a personal support plan
- understand how to promote a healthy work environment
- have a toolkit of resources for a crisis.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
