Frequently asked questions
What is a SAITMicro digital badge?
A digital badge is a visual, verifiable and shareable asset you can use to share your learning achievement or credential.
More than just visual recognition, digital badges add credibility by linking to metadata that provides context and verification for your credentials, detailing your achievements, what you did to earn them and details about where you earned them.
In short, digital badges are a trusted and easily verifiable way to showcase your skills and stand out.
How can I earn a digital badge?
It is no longer required to complete a course in order to earn a digital badge – you may choose to take just the assessment to get certified. If you choose to take the full course, you can earn a digital badge by achieving a high academic standing.
Check eligible courses to find the minimum letter grade required to be issued the digital badge. The minimum letter grade assigned depends on the course and is based on the SAIT grading system.
Where and how can I share my micro-credential digital badge?
SAIT has partnered with Credly, an industry-leading platform for digital credentials. This secure platform allows you to share the badges you earn with your network for ultimate recognition of your achievement.
When you successfully complete a SAITMicro course with high academic standing, you will receive an email from Credly with steps to claim your digital badge and set up your account.
From there, you can then easily share your badge online – post it on your socials, embed it on your website and in your email signature, link to it on your resume and add it to your business card.
