Results: Atyrayu Petroleum Educational Centre, Kazakhstan
The partnership with APEC PetroTechnic developed work-ready graduates in foundational and technical specialties required to support Kazakhstan’s growing energy industry, resulting in a more capable and high-quality national workforce trained to international standards.
Services provided during the partnership included administration of operations, English language skills development, science and math upgrading and technical programs, and facility development. Quality assurance audits were also undertaken to meet APEC’s goal of being a first-class national and international technical post-secondary institution.

Results: Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Indonesia
The training lasted eight weeks, including courses such as Overview of the Petroleum Industry, Oil and Gas Field Health and Safety, Drilling, Oil and Gas Operations, Liquefied Natural Gas, and a capstone project. Participants from this program earned a SAIT Certificate of Achievement.
In addition to their studies, the trainees resided on campus in the SAIT residence and had the opportunity to participate in unique Canadian cultural experiences.
The knowledge and skills acquired during the program from SAIT have translated into enhanced productivity, efficiency and overall performance.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.
We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
