Overview

Project risk management is vital for organizations as it proactively minimizes potential losses and ensures successful project outcomes, enhancing efficiency, stakeholder confidence and overall resilience. Are you ready to hone your professional project risk management skills and apply them to your current or future projects?

This course is based on the latest Project Management Institute’s (PMI’s) A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) and The Standard for Risk Management in Portfolios, Programs and Projects. The course focuses on advanced concepts and special techniques for effective project risk management.

You’ll start by exploring vital concepts and success factors of risk management and learning how to create a tailored risk management plan. Then, you’ll investigate a variety of methods to help you identify specific project risks, prioritize them and quantify the potential outcomes and impacts of significant risks. Finally, you'll learn how to plan and implement appropriate risk responses in a controlled way to ensure the successful achievement of your project’s objectives.

This course is ideal if you:

  • are preparing for project management roles or enhancing skills to align with PMI’s standards and best practices
  • are responsible for projects and want to implement effective risk management practices
  • are pursuing PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® or Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification.
