Course sections for PROJ 020, 021, 022, 023, 024, and 025 with start dates before March 1, 2026, use PMBOK 7 content; sections starting on or after March 2, 2026, use PMBOK 8 content.
Learners completing the SAIT Project Management Certificate of Completion may take any combination of PMBOK 7– or PMBOK 8–aligned courses. If you are preparing for PMI certifications, note that the CAPM exam currently aligns with PMBOK 7. If you are preparing for the PMP exam, please review PMI’s official exam transition timelines.

Overview
Are you ready to answer the call for savvy project managers who can effectively lead projects and drive success?
The Project Management Certificate of Completion supports new and experienced project managers, providing essential, relevant and current project management knowledge and skills to hit the ground running. You’ll build knowledge of the 12 Principles of Project Management, project delivery approaches from Waterfall to Agile, how to deliver value through effective leadership and communication, how to develop the key components of a reliable project plan, agile methodologies, tools and mindsets, project analysis and performance monitoring, and qualitative and quantitative ways to control project risk and support effective decision-making.
You’ll learn to manage various projects through real-world case studies, practical exercises and engaging collaboration. In each course, you'll gain hands-on experience with effective tools, methods and customizable templates that you can apply to your projects right away. Learning from experienced industry professionals, you’ll gain in-depth practical knowledge to handle changing project requirements and navigate the complexities of project management in different organizational environments.
This program is ideal if you:
- are preparing for project management roles or enhancing skills to align with PMI’s standards and best practices
- work in a role requiring effective management of projects, budgets, timelines and stakeholder expectations
- are pursuing PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® or Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification
- already have a PMI designation and want to take project management training for professional development units.
There are no eligibility requirements for this program. Any prior or current education and work experience from any industry or sector will enhance your professional development journey.

To earn this certificate, you must complete the six mandatory courses below. Although you can take the courses in any order, we recommend starting with PROJ 020 Project Management Essentials.

How to register for this certificate
Once you have registered for any course offered in this certificate, you will be automatically eligible to complete the certificate. You will have up to three years to complete this program. You may track your progression by signing in to your Continuing Education student account.
Certifications and professional designations
Upon successful completion of all the required courses in this certificate program, you’ll receive an electronically issued SAIT Certificate of Completion and transcript. For each SAIT Micro-credential earned, you'll also receive a shareable digital badge.
Courses in this program may be used toward educational prerequisites for attaining PMI certifications or toward professional development units (PDUs) to maintain certifications. Additional education, exams and/or work experience requirements may apply.
Courses in this program may also qualify for Blue Seal Certificate training hours.
