This hands-on course builds on your existing knowledge, equipping you with the skills to install, operate, manage, maintain, and troubleshoot computer networks. Through a combination of theory and practice, you’ll expand your networking expertise and gain experience with real-world troubleshooting, developing a strong understanding of networking concepts, from configuring routers and firewalls to optimizing security and managing wireless connections. You’ll also cover network protocols, addressing, specialized networks, and security best practices, ensuring you're prepared for today’s complex IT environments.

Not only will this course enhance your technical expertise, but it will also help prepare you for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam, a valuable credential recognized across the industry.

This course is ideal if you:

  • want the skills to install, manage, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks in real-world environments
  • need hands-on experience with network security, cabling, firewalls, and routing
  • are preparing for the CompTIA Network+ certification exam and want structured training
  • aim to expand your IT expertise.

To be eligible to take this course, you must complete CMPH 003 - A+ In Depth - Networking and Security.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • understand basic networking concepts and protocols
  • demonstrate an understanding of network cabling and hardware devices
  • demonstrate an understanding of IPv4 and IPv6 addressing and services
  • explain Ethernet and Ethernet standards
  • demonstrate an understanding of firewalls and security appliances
  • demonstrate an understanding of switching and routing concepts
  • demonstrate an understanding of specialized networks and how to manage them
  • understand and contrast wireless concepts and standards
  • demonstrate an understanding of WAN concepts
  • explain network management, data backup, and storage
  • understand security concepts, network threats, and attacks
  • understand network hardening aspects, authentication, and update management
  • demonstrate network optimization, troubleshooting methodology, and utilities.
