Overview

Want more hands-on practice time? If you’ve completed NDT training at SAIT or with another training provider, this is a great opportunity to review your knowledge and skills in preparation for CGSB NDT certification exams.

We offer scheduled lab time access for the following NDT methods.

  • Liquid Penetrant Inspection/Penetrant Testing (LPI/PT) – 3 hours
  • Magnetic Particle Inspection/Magnetic Testing (MPI/MT) – 3 hours
  • Radiographic Testing (RT) – 8 hours
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – 8 hours

These labs do not include instruction or any student evaluation. They are set up for small groups to facilitate your independent review of a specific NDT method using specific equipment in a safe facility. The NDT instructor in attendance will provide general supervision and you are free to use some or all of the time allotted for your selected lab practice.

To be eligible to take this course, you must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Oki, Âba wathtech, Danit'ada, Tawnshi, Hello.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
