Overview

You can't just tell people what to do and expect lasting change—you've got to earn their trust first. As a leader, your coaching effectiveness isn't about your title; it's about who you are and how authentically you show up for (serve) your team.

In this course, you'll define what coaching truly means and explore the multiple roles you play as a leader-coach. Through self-assessment, you'll align your values with your actions to strengthen your authenticity and leadership impact while understanding coaching's growing importance in today's challenges.

You'll also learn proven strategies for creating trust and accountability, which is the foundation where real coaching happens, and explore established coaching models that show you how to weave coaching seamlessly into your daily leadership activities.

Brené Brown says, "Who we are is how we lead," so you'll develop a personalized plan for continuous growth through live coaching practice and feedback that gives you the concrete skills, authentic presence, and the confidence to guide others meaningfully.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • explain what coaching is and the various roles leaders play
  • describe the impact coaching can have and the growing challenges for leaders today
  • evaluate your current effectiveness by correlating alignment between your values (self) and your actions/behaviours to strengthen your leadership impact and authenticity
  • describe strategies for creating an environment of trust and accountability for coaching to occur
  • summarize coaching models and how coaching can be incorporated into day-to-day activities
  • develop a plan for continuing to develop leader-as-coach skills by engaging in live coaching experiences and receiving feedback.
