To be successful in this course, we recommend you complete MGMT 020 – IT Business Analysis Essentials I, and MGMT 021 – IT Business Analysis Essentials II prior to registering for this course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • leverage current tools, techniques, and methodologies to assist organizations so they can invest in the right solution at the right time
  • identify the role and value that Business Analysts bring to projects document as-is and proposed business processes using different tools (e.g., flowcharts, diagrams, process maps) to identify inefficiencies, areas of opportunity, and conduct detailed analysis of business processes
  • leverage stakeholder management tools to identify, engage and manage stakeholders conduct a feasibility study to initiate a project and ensure, through market studies and vendor assessments (RFI/RFQ/RFP), that scope analysis and other techniques are appropriate within the organization
  • build and present a business case to support solution evaluations (cost/benefit analysis, total cost of ownership {TCO}, break-even analysis, risk assessment, and financial analysis), with the ultimate goal of developing a recommendation/implementation plan to meet requirements
  • create a user journey and explain how use cases, behavioural, and structural modelling support the solution evaluation process
  • create a prototype or wireframe in Figma and describe how it's used in solution validation and evaluation
  • build a measurement methodology through KPIs and acceptance criteria to monitor, measure, and evaluate the success of the recommended and implemented solutions.
