Overview

This course is part of the New Home Warranty Program Moisture Control Certificate of Completion delivered in partnership with the Professional Home Builders Institute (PHBI), was developed to address the leading cause of failure in building envelopes - unwanted moisture. This training helps you develop and utilize critical thinking skills to design, construct and assess wood-frame building envelopes.

This study at your own pace course is the first of two required to obtain your SAIT certificate and meet the requirements of the Alberta New Home Warranty Program. Upon registration, you'll have 14 weeks to complete the self-study.

Upon completing the eight modules and online post-test requirements for each, you'll be eligible to register for the second course - Moisture Control Site Visit.

After you've completed this course

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to self-print a proof of completion document from your Continuing Education student account.

SAIT is located on the traditional territories of the Niitsitapi (Blackfoot) and the people of Treaty 7 which includes the Siksika, the Piikani, the Kainai, the Tsuut’ina and the Îyârhe Nakoda of Bearspaw, Chiniki and Goodstoney.

We are situated in an area the Blackfoot tribes traditionally called Moh’kinsstis, where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. We now call it the city of Calgary, which is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta.
