Overview
Organizations across every industry rely on Product Managers to identify the right problems to solve, align teams around a clear vision, and deliver measurable outcomes. As AI becomes embedded in products and services, employers are looking for professionals who not only understand product fundamentals, but can also evaluate AI opportunities, assess data readiness, and make responsible, informed decisions about AI-powered features.
The Applied AI Product Management bootcamp is a 40-hour online virtual program designed for early to mid-career professionals pivoting into product management and tech. In this SAIT Micro-credential course, you’ll develop a strong product mindset and core product management capabilities across the full lifecycle, from discovery through delivery.
Topics include design thinking, user and market research, ideation, prototyping and testing, product vision and strategy, agile prioritization, backlog management, roadmapping, and outcome measurement. You’ll learn how AI has impacted the role of the Product Manager, how AI works, and how to use AI tools to support research, synthesis, decision-making, and iteration. You’ll also explore how to evaluate AI use cases and manage AI-powered products responsibly.
Through a capstone project, you’ll apply these skills in a live business context, working in teams to lead kick-offs, conduct stakeholder interviews, develop prototypes, and present a complete product case. Career-focused support, including résumé guidance and interview coaching, helps you translate your experience into employer-ready language.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the strategic thinking, practical product skills, and AI fluency to pursue entry-level roles such as Associate Product Manager, Product Owner, Junior Product Manager, Digital Product Analyst, Innovation Analyst, or Technical Product Coordinator. You’ll be prepared to contribute to AI-enabled product teams and guide products from concept to market with confidence.
This course is ideal if you:
- want to transition into an entry-level product management role
- work in business, technology, marketing, operations, or a related field and want to upskill with AI
- are ready to apply your existing professional experience in a product-focused career path
- want hands-on experience and a portfolio that demonstrates your readiness to employers.
