Digital Youth Programs offers approachable and hands-on professional development for teachers interested in exploring emerging technologies in a low-pressure and engaging environment.
Our workshops for teachers are designed to mirror the same student experiences offered through Digital Youth Programs, allowing educators to build comfort and familiarity with technologies such as coding, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, and more.
These sessions provide a practical introduction to digital tools in a format that is accessible to all teaching backgrounds. No prior experience is required.
More in-depth or customized training opportunities may also be available on a case-by-case basis.
Delivery format
Professional development sessions can be hosted at SAIT’s Digital Youth Studio, where teachers gain access to a rich and immersive learning experience supported by our full range of equipment, materials, and studio resources.
Alternatively, sessions can be delivered at the teacher’s school. While this version offers a more simplified and portable experience, it still provides valuable exposure to key concepts and tools in a familiar setting.
Sessions can be customized to align with the needs, interests, and schedules of participating schools.
Cost
There is no cost to teachers or schools for participating in these workshops.
