Before you book
Each student must have access to a computer/laptop or mobile device to participate in the workshop.
For in-school workshops, we also need access to an HDMI cable or USB port, projector, and speakers so the facilitator(s) can deliver the workshop.
Class or group sizes
Each workshop has an ideal capacity of 30 students, but flexibility exists.
Maximum capacity is dictated by the equipment we have access to. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about workshop sizes.
Program length and timing
For in-school workshops, you will choose one launch workshop that will run for 60 – 90 minutes. You can select a specific time that works best for your class periods within one of the following timeframes:
- 9 am to 12 pm
- 12 pm to 3 pm
For example, if the workshop time frame is 9 am – 12 pm, you can select any start time between 9 am and 11 am. You must allow at least 60 minutes to complete the workshop before the end of the timeframe.
Alternative times can be scheduled by request.
How to register
You will register for a workshop using our online registration portal.
You will need to create a new account to get started. Please enter your own name when creating your new account.
If you've registered your class for a workshop in the past, sign in as a returning user.
During your application, please select one workshop per available date and add it to your cart. If you want to do two workshops in one day, contact us at youth.programs@sait.ca.
You must supply your contact details and complete the teacher waiver form as part of the registration process.
Once registration is complete, you’ll automatically receive a confirmation email.
A Launch facilitator will contact you two weeks before the workshop to ensure you have everything needed to host, such as computers, suitable space, etc. This is also a chance to pass on any specific instructions the facilitators will need to know before coming, such as where to park or what entrance to use.
🚨 Launch Workshops are currently only available for teachers and educators to register for classes and groups. Workshops are free.
Post-workshop surveys
Participation in our workshops is free, but we kindly request that all participants complete an anonymous survey afterward.
The surveys will be used to improve our programming and the learning experience.
Cancellation and questions
If you have questions or need to cancel your session, please email us at youth.programs@sait.ca at least three business days before your workshop.
