Exploring Skilled Trades for Girls

Exploring Skilled Trades for Girls (ESTFG) is an annual event that inspires young girls in grades 8 and 9 to explore and consider various opportunities and benefits of pursuing a career in skilled trades and technologies. The event will take place in the Aldred Centre with break-out workshops in various other buildings throughout campus.
The day consists of hands-on activities, interactive demonstrations, and informative sessions to provide valuable insights into potential career pathways in the world of trades!

Exploring Aviation Day

Time: 9 am – 2:30 pm
Exploring Aviation Day is a one-day event designed to introduce junior high students to the exciting world of aviation! Through a series of interactive, hands-on activities, students will explore the wide range of programs and career paths available in the aviation industry.
Participants will rotate through engaging stations that highlight different aspects of aviation including aircraft maintenance, structures, avionics, and drone technology. During lunch, students will have the unique opportunity to connect with aviation professionals at our industry showcase, hosted right in the hangar!

Exploring Energy Days is an exciting two-day event designed to immerse junior high and high school students in the dynamic and evolving world of energy. Hosted by MacPhail School of Energy, this event highlights the educational pathways and diverse career opportunities available in the energy sector.
- Day 1 (April 29) is tailored for junior high students offering fun, hands-on activities that spark curiosity and introduce foundational energy concepts.
- Day 2 (April 30) is focused on high school students, providing deeper insights into energy technologies, sustainability, and future-focused careers.
Both days feature interactive workshops and engaging programming that allow students to envision themselves as future leaders in the energy industry.
