Overview

Refrigeration plays a crucial role in LNG production, and having a solid grasp of cryogenic systems can open doors in the industry. Refrigeration Processes II explores refrigeration methods used in gas processing, cryogenic heat exchangers, cascade refrigeration, turboexpander plant operations, and LNG liquefaction techniques.

In this instructor-supported, self-directed online course, you’ll work through interactive lessons, self-assessments, and a final exam to build your technical expertise.

This course is made possible through funding from the Government of Alberta. It is well-suited for individuals preparing to enter the gas processing or LNG industry and complements our Gas Process Operations certificate.

This course is ideal if you:

  • are looking to develop specialized knowledge in cryogenic refrigeration and LNG liquefaction
  • want to gain industry-relevant skills that align with careers in gas processing and LNG production
  • prefer a flexible online format with structured learning and instructor support.

We recommend completing NGAS 002  Refrigeration Processes I before registering for this course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • discuss the purpose and types of cryogenic refrigeration systems
