Overview

Learn the foundational principles behind refrigeration processes used in shallow-cut gas processing facilities. Refrigeration Processes I covers refrigerant properties, key equipment in compression refrigeration systems, system charging and purging, and common operating issues.

This instructor-supported, self-directed online course features theory modules, knowledge-based self-assessments, quizzes, and a final exam.

This micro-credential is part of our LNG micro-credential series, made possible through funding from the Government of Alberta. It is well-suited for individuals preparing to enter the gas processing or LNG industry and complements our Gas Process Operations certificate.

Upon successful completion of this course, you'll be able to:

  • describe refrigeration principles
  • describe the basic equipment in a compression refrigeration system
  • describe the operation of a compression refrigeration system.
